Driftwood is a small working class neighborhood located in Austin. It is a great community for families and there are several single family residential homes currently available in the area. This location has seen its share of ups and downs as far as population goes. The community was originally established in the 1880s and saw a significant growth in the decade to come. Later in the 20th century, Driftwood became somewhat of a ghost town, however the town began to pick up once again throughout the 1970s and 1980s.
